Design / WAYSETInteractive study

A bag for the day.
A store that helps you choose.

WAYSET is an invented everyday-carry brand. Explore a complete shopping journey before and after the redesign.

Fictional business · Interactive demonstration

01 / The business

Start with the business.

The business

Eva looks after product information and customer questions; Rui packs orders twice a week. Their fictional Lisbon brand sells three bags to freelancers and city commuters: Daypack 16 (€98), Cross Tote 10 (€74) and Pocket 02 (€32). The first market is mainland Portugal and Spain.

What brought the problem into view

The shop needs to answer three questions before a visitor buys: will my laptop fit, what can I carry, and what will delivery cost?

How it worked before

A competent small-store template with the same products, photographs, prices, stock and policies. Product specifications, basket and simulated checkout work. Shoppers have to compare dimensions themselves; the brand and the shopping guidance are less developed.

What a useful result means

A recognisable brand and a clearer route from choosing a bag to checking its fit and reviewing the delivered total.

What mattered here

“It fits a 14-inch laptop” was too vague.

The screen diagonal does not tell us the device’s dimensions. The owner’s brief becomes a three-dimension sleeve check with explicit limits.

A small catalogue does not need a maze.

Three products can be compared directly. The pouch fits inside both larger bags; there is no untested external attachment claim.

A bright homepage still needs a useful basket.

Variant stock and delivery cost remain visible. The graphite daypack is unavailable; unsupported destinations cannot complete checkout.

02 / The improvement

See what changed.

A recognisable brand and a clearer route from choosing a bag to checking its fit and reviewing the delivered total.

Laptop size buried in specifications

A measured fit guide

Enter three dimensions and a typical load; inspect which products fall within the authored limits.

Delivery only considered at checkout

Costs near the buying decision

Product and basket show PT €6, ES €9 and free delivery from €150; unsupported regions are blocked.

A plain catalogue identity

A distinct city-carry campaign

Bold typography, a consistent colour palette and generous product photography give the small range a recognisable identity.
